Programs
Bal Jagat specializes in placing healthy infants, toddlers, and children with no known special needs,
in permanent homes in the United States. Of course, children with known special needs, minor correctable
handicaps, and older children are always available and waiting for the loving embrace of a family
who can help each child realize their full potential.
In most Bal Jagat programs, children are cared for in government sponsored orphanages. They receive
the basic necessities for life but their greatest need is to be given the opportunity to grow and
thrive as part of a nurturing, loving family.
Referral time varies by country, but most families arrive home with their new son or daughter
within 12-14 months after the homestudy is completed. Some countries may take 16 - 18 months to
complete the adoption.
