Bal Jagat- Children’s World Inc. has an ongoing partnership with several Hague Approved agencies that have a license with the Russian Government. Russia is a very successful program and is open with infants, toddlers, and older children waiting for new homes.
These children live in orphanages and are normally abandoned due to economic conditions. The youngest child arriving from Russia will be about six months to one year old. Due to institutional living some children may display slow development, speech and growth delays. We are proud to note that all of the children adopted from Russia through Bal Jagat have thrived and are doing well! Adoptive parents must be under 45 to adopt an infant.
There are two required trips to Russia each lasting two weeks in length. On the first trip both parents will be required to travel and meet their child. A videotape is no longer provided, but referrals are accompanied by pictures and medical information. We work in cooperation with other Russian accredited agencies.
