In 2008, on behalf of KCET public television in Hollywood, and Union Bank of California, Hemlata Momaya was awarded a “Local Hero of the Year” Award for her 25 years of dedication in the field of Social Services. She was granted this prestigious award in front of a live audience, and a documentary on her work in the field of International Adoption was showcased and televised on KCET in Los Angeles.
